I might be over-estimating myself or setting my goals too high but here is a list of resolutions I’ve made thus far for 2012. It will be a miracle if I actually do/keep all of these but if by some chance I do, what a freaking awesome year it will be. Here’s to a new chapter, a new president, and many new adventures!
1. Cook more, eat out less.
2. Eat healthy! (Seriously.)
3. Work out in some capacity. (I kind of wanted to start running again but I feel like that’s going to be hard in the New York winter but I will try! I don’t know which is worse: running in the freezing cold or running in the blazing sun.)
4. Truly engage with people and listen to their stories.
5. Floss.
6. Drink less. (Yup. I said it.)
7. Stop smoking. (I said it again.)
8. Be financially secure. (This might be a long shot but I want this so bad.)
9. Read more books.
10. Start writing my own book.
11. Get a job. Or five.
12. Go some place I’ve never been before.
13. Have a kickass 23rd birthday.
14. Eat less meat.
15. Buy locally and eat organically.
16. Meet new people.
17. Go to more shows.
18. Take more photographs of New York.
19. Take too many classes at 3rd Ward.
20. Call my dad more.
21. Write more letters.
22. Go to bed early and wake up early.
23. Stop drinking soda.
24. Don’t fall in love.
25. Learn a new hobby.
26. Journal more.
27. Draw more. Paint more.
28. Drink more water.
29. Learn to like tea.
30. Explore the boroughs of New York.
31. Be more like Tina Fey.
32. Laugh more (and not just at my own jokes.)
33. Do something I’ve never done before.
34. Vote.
35. Call my grandmother.
36. Be okay with things.
